Art of Life Photography - My Style
I love to see the world through my camera and would say that my style is editorial, real, and candid. Rumor has it I’m known as the photographer who drags vintage furniture outdoors for sessions; and I wholeheartedly believe an old building, complete with peeling paint, will make the perfect backdrop for a portrait. I love to incorporate the surroundings into my portraits, whether it be your home, nature or an urban location. My goal is to capture genuine moments, not shying away from artistic cropping, moody lighting or pictures of non-smiling.
Sessions are relaxed, letting me take my time, but also be creative and unique. Not being rushed lets everybody relax. During our session, I want you to have fun. Having fun during the session brings out the natural smiles and personalities that we see everyday. We can do some “posed” portraits in the beginning of your session, then we’ll let you be you and show your inner self to allow your photos tell a story of what was happening when it was taken. For families I love to photograph you interacting with each other, and while we will take some posed shots, the focus is to keep the images natural.
Just be you. That’s all I want. If you’re silly and giggly or if you’re calm and snuggly, I want that from you during our session. Show up with an open mind and willing soul and ready to have some fun – you will love the results. It is my belief that there is art in every life, and embrace the challenge of capturing just that.
